We are so excited that POP Bubble Tea opened recently in Asheville North Carolina. We stopped by the first day and we got to try several of their tasty options. They are located on Merrimon Ave in north Asheville, right inside the Hop Ice Cream shop.
Asheville Spring Festival 2022 at Camp Cedar Cliff
There are so many Spring festivals happening around the Asheville area and Gigi & Daddy got a chance to stop by one on the east side of town called Camp Cedar Cliff. We enjoyed the activities, played games, got some shaved ice, and met so many people. If you are looking for a camp in the Asheville area for the kids, Camp Cedar Cliff is amazing!
Camping in Brevard NC
Gigi & Daddy got to go on our first camping trip for 2022. When we got to the campsite, there was this giant fire pit with these comfortable wood seats on each side.
Camping comes with some challenges, but this spot had a custom built outhouse on the property!
And… there was an outdoor kitchen and dining area for us to use. So we weren’t really roughing it, at least not yet.
We set up this Alps Mountaineering tent in just 4 minutes! The sun started going down, we cooked, ate, danced, and had so much fun. Then it was time to go to sleep as we had several other adventures planned for the next morning. Let me tell you, despite using my Nana’s Coleman sleeping bag, it was FREEZING; but we survived. I guess the weather was the “roughing it” part. We were so excited for Spring but Mother Nature obviously wasn’t lol. We made a great experience out of it like we always do. Thank you!

The Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock North Carolina
On one of the latest Gigi & Daddy adventures over the Christmas holidays, we visited the Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock NC and had so much fun. In addition to the Tweetsie Train Ride, there was also a small amusement park, live performances, and a good time all around. Can’t wait to visit again!
Indoor Rock Climbing Walls in Asheville at Climbmax
It’s getting a little chilly out in Asheville, well except for the past few days, but we are looking for indoor adventures to do some exploring around Western North Carolina. We decided to stop by Climbmax and check out their indoor rock climbing walls and it was so much fun! Watch the video and stop by one of their locations to try it out.
Hunting for Bubble Tea with Dad
I had just gotten out of school and I had a craving for bubble tea. As soon as I got into the car I asked my dad if he could take me to Pad Thai on Sardis Road to get some bubble tea. He took off that way, but when we arrived, it was closed. So dad looked up bubble tea on his Google Pixel and it said that a new bubble tea food truck was actually in west Asheville, at The Meadows Apartments! We headed that way and found the Bluebird Bubble Tea truck with a long line of people waiting to place their order. After we got our bubble tea, we knew why, because it was so amazingly delicious. So glad we found this truck! We will definitely be chasing it down again soon. Thank you!
Visiting Montreat North Carolina
Gigi, Daddy, and Luke Dog went on a tour of Montreat North Carolina. This is the perfect little great outdoors town! Watch the video and take the kids there on an adventure.
Take A Kids Tour of West Asheville
Gigi takes us on a tour of West Asheville, and lots of fun things to do with the kids along Haywood Road! Visiting the Asheville area? The westside has become one of the most popular spots around town, especially for the locals.
Gigi & Daddy Saving The Fish
At Lake Tomahawk, they had drained the lake to make a few repairs, and Gigi was worried about the fish that were in the lake. So we drove down to the bottom end and it was packed full, with a lot of them stuck and no way out. So we rescued them and took them to the other end of the giant culvert so they could swim downstream and live.
